Susan traveled with other Rotarians to the Dominican Republic to build latrines in the village of Los Higos. (See article by Rotary District Governor Bob Ross near by.) We all shared in the adventure when viewing the pictures Susan and Celia brought home. They lived with and ate with the locals and yes, climbed the steep mountain road on foot to the work site. Susan made a difference in peoples lives. Not content to just contribute to our local food bank, she volunteered to work there. Susan sorted supllies and handed out food packages to those who stopped there for help. If you needed help with a Rotary project, you could count on Susan, sometimes called "Susie", to step in and see things through to completion. Susan cared for and about people, all people. We who cared for and about her, will miss her deeply.
